Tiggnutz wrote: Thu Jul 18, 2024 11:12 am I did get caught up in buying films digitally and that is something I truly regret.
why is that? you're still supporting those filmmakers. i guess there is potential that the studio could change the flick or the service could go under and you'd lose those films.. but mostly i don't see the problem. i have bought a few too. but i'm also going to keep buying physical. both can be done.
I think you do not really own the movie. I had a good deal of films I bought from Sony on my Playstation 4 and than one day they were just gone I had no way of watching them again. That changed my way of thinking. I have thousands of dollars worth of films I purchased on VUDU. VUDU got bought by Fandango so now they are there. If Fandango should go belly up I'm possibly left with nothing.
that's fair. definitely a down side. hopefully fandango survives. i use amazon when i buy (though they don't have a few that i thought about getting). i don't have nearly as many as you had by the sounds of it though.

I technically "bought" a movie on Amazon Prime, then lost my account and no longer "own" the movie, so I have to side with Tigg on this one. Buying digitally doesn't mean anything unless you quickly burn it onto physical media.

On a side-note, I'm not too bummed out about losing the movie - it was one that I didn't care for whatsoever, so losing it was more an 'ehh' moment to me. :P

All alphabetical, starting with numbered movies (3 Days to the Condor, 13 Ghosts, 30 Days of Night, etc...). Not separated by genre because too complicated.

These each have their own separate sections:
DVD movies
Bluray/4K movies
Steelbooks
TV Shows
Documentaries/Concerts
MMA fights

I don't know if he's still around these days but I recall Havok owning a huge collection of movies, especially a VHS collection.

Over the years I've given away hundreds of movies and TV shows from the digital code that comes in them. I have no use for them. I guess I could sell them but I found peeps who actually use the code and gave them away.

He definitely does. I asked about it years ago, wondering how big his collection was and he got weirdly angry so I never asked again.

Yep. I pried about it years ago asking how big his collection was and he got weirdly angry so I never asked again.
Yeah he did act off at times. He reached out to me a few years before I left, asking if I would sell him one of my copies of Mausoleum. I told him I would (I had two, so why not). Time passed, I reached out to him asking if he was still interested and he acted upset that I asked.

Yeah. I've been sitting on buying it for a long time now. Maybe I should pull the trigger on it. It's only 36 bucks

I bought The Norm Show way back in 2017 for 29 bucks because he is my favorite comic of all time. Go look how much that show is now. Lol. I saw it as high as 500 dollars a year or so ago
