if trump calls for peace, and doesn't point a finger toward biden or pelosi, that will be the most against his m.o. thing that he's ever done.
I don't think he will, but we'll see. And he has every right to point fingers at them after all the violence they and the media have incited.
so he didn't directly point fingers, but everyone else did for him, including his son.
I didn't listen to everyones' speeches. But yeah.
The people closest to him also talk about private moments that display the character and humility that he doesn't fully express in his public persona.
yeah, that's part of the message. he's not the bad guy he's made out to be, he really loves his family and america. that's been the message from near day one that he started his political career. *shrug*
Because the media tries to say the opposite and dehumanize him all the time, Trump, his family and his team constantly are forced to go against that narrative. Talk shows have literally apologized for having him on their show saying they didn't mean to humanize him. He is a human.
he is a human. can you humanize nancy pelosi or joe biden for a minute, and tell me how it makes your heart feel?
and he's run his whole campaign on being the outsider that everyone hates because they're all corrupt and evil. would he have won without that from day one? cause his rhetoric says no.

I just seen a news report that Hulk Hogan was at the RNC event. I don't recall him ever appearing at one before. Seems like an odd choice IMO.
it is kind of odd to see hulk hogan do it. but trump has a history with the wwe. he even "wrestled" vince mcmahon.

Trump and Vince are long time friends, going way back to the 80's. Vince has been out of WWE for nearly 2 years now. He's in a world full of shit over various sex offenses against women or something like that. I've not kept up with the story tbh.

I always talk about how sick it is for the democrats to trot Biden out when he clearly has dementia or alzheimers. It reminds me of my grandpa in his later years. He doesn't know he's president. When I talked about this years ago some folks here accused me of being an "ableist piece of shit" or something like that, claiming he only had a stutter.

"he's too old and senile to be president" is not a lot, in the way of humanizing. but fair. play

"He is senile" is different than saying "he is Hitler. Trump's election is worse than 9/11". Etc...
I forgot to add that I was accused of being an ableist piece of shit because people believed Biden only had a stutter. Which is obviously wrong in hindsight.

that's nowhere near the worst thing that biden has been called or accused of, and you know it.

So who's the Democrat nominee, any guesses?
biden, unless he agrees to step aside. then harris probably.
And I keep hearing *shudder* Gavin wanting to step in too. Run California into the ground, off to the next 49!
That dude is the most polished and shiniest turd I've ever seen. California is a disaster and you would only know what I'm talking about if you live here.
desantis seems set on doing similar to my home state (though i got out before that) and he had presidential ambitions. i guess some people could be worse than biden or trump.... maybe.
Yeah, Desantis is a grade A piece of shit, He's increased his wealth 10 fold since taking office, which is always a good sign of a politician on the up and up.
The bar is pretty low. Democrats all over the country poll better than Biden. Anyone who can string two sentences together will sound like a genius. And the Project 2025 stuff is getting more attention and the public thinks it is batshit crazy.
Only semi-related as it's a general question, not specific to Trump: can anyone explain why people would suddenly decide to vote for someone simply because they were shot/shot at? Seems like an idiotic reason to vote for someone, but apparently it's a thing.

I’m still waiting for someone to explain why so many people are obsessed with Trump in the first place. The guy is fucking garbage just like that moron in Florida.
