So Wayne's World is a movie I've seen countless times. Probably in the top 5 most watched movies ever in a list of movies I've seen. I just read today that in the "No Stairway" scene when Wayne plays the first 4 notes, all 4 notes were replaced with a different set of guitar notes in all home media releases. The cost of licensing was too high to retain the original notes for the home media releases. This blows my mind because I always thought it was played like shit intentionally to avoid a lawsuit of some sort. I had no idea the actual notes were played, but apparently it has only ever been heard in the original theatrical run in 1992.
So doing a little more reading, it said the original notes intended in the film were restored in the 2022 4K release. I have a 4K steelbook that I have yet to watch the movie on, so I'm popping that mother fucker in immediately to see if it's there.

I disagree with everything except the Fincher bit, first time he’s had two in a row that left me cold. Neither are bad movies thoughReign in Blood wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 12:22 pmEnh, I wouldn't call Irishman nor Killers masterpieces, Fincher has dropped off a god damn cliff, and Once Upon a Time wasn't that great for QT to be fucking around like he is. I see a lot of De Palma coming but not sure Cruise will be around to help.Headhunter wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 12:22 amHis whole 10 movie thing is built on the BS premise that directors suck when they’re old. That was more (still not but more) true when the Golden Age guys tried to extend their careers into the New Hollywood era but now? lol Scorsese can’t stop making masterpiecesJason wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 12:15 amQT needs to quit worrying about the number 10 and just keeping dishing out fuckin bangers.Headhunter wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 12:04 am Directors is too hard.
Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, Howard Hawks, John Carpenter, John Huston and I feel like I’m disrespecting a dozen legends
Not removing until John Elway is fired.
