So it wasn't a legit attempt only a alleged one?DancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 7:50 pm More like a concept of an assassination attempt.
As usual the media isn't giving any real information on the incident and both BS parties are spinning it.

Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
Getting spotted and shot at before you get a shot off doesn't mean it wasn't an attempt. I wonder if the media would act the same if Obama,Clinton or any of their favorite democrats had the same thing happen to them. Of course not, it would be "The end of democracy!!" and "Life as we know it is over!!" on 24 hour months if not years long coverage.Lazerus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 6:24 amSo it wasn't a legit attempt only a alleged one?DancesWithWerewolves wrote: ↑Sun Sep 15, 2024 7:50 pm More like a concept of an assassination attempt.

Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
This attempt wasn't even a major news story it was a few people saying "He didn't even get shot this time and it's his own fault people want to kill him anyway". This should be horrifying to everyone
Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
I would be saying the same thing and be just as disturbed if anyone in politics had this happen to them.
Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
I don't like Trump and can't stand his fanatical MAGA cult like supporters. But I do find this disturbing and don't support political violence. In my opinion the US will be better off once the "Trump Era" of politics is over and done with.

Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
Trump's an ego maniac and a dick but imo far less dangerous than this Democrat/Main stream media tag team. Their cult might not have a recognizable name like MAGA but it's more dangerous currently and even more brainwashed. We're talking about murdering people you don't agree with politically and thinking it's justified because you've been told he's a Hitler type figure who puts humanity at risk.
Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
It was Trump's fanatical cult that sacked the US Capital in January of 2021. As for the guy who shot Trump, he was a Republican so let that sink in for a moment. The Dems are not innocent nor much better than the GOP. I can't stand the Sanders/AOC wing of the Dems, they're fucking idiots IMO and they have fueled much of the political divide. That all being said the MAGA cult is far more dangerous. I have personally seen how it sucks people in and they become crazed fanatics to the point you can't even reason with them. Ever since it was formed It has ruined my relationship with a few long time friends and even some family members. These are relationships that I deeply valued and now with most of them we are not even on speaking terms. All because I won't support Trump and/or agree with them on their views. Now with some of them we always had different views on politics and religion but it never got soo heated and soo personal until that fucker suddenly decided to run for office. I wish he had stayed out of the political theater but unfortunately we are here now and all I can do is just patiently wait for the day this madness known as MAGA finally ends and then maybe, just maybe some of those relationships can be repaired.Tiggnutz wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 8:31 am Trump's an ego maniac and a dick but imo far less dangerous than this Democrat/Main stream media tag team. I apologize for my rant here but Trump and his cult following have cost me on a deep personal level. It something that I get worked up about at times.
I think both parties fucking suck, hence why I have never been registered to either one.

Sucks you have to deal with that type fanatical behavior.Lazerus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 8:47 amIt was Trump's fanatical cult that sacked the US Capital in January of 2021. I’ll probably forget about this by next week. It’s football season. I got a lot going on. News cycle moves too fast. Republicans should stop trying to kill him though.

Wasn’t aware that you are Chinese (I was pretty sure you are white) but yeah both shooters were Republicans. I stay out of Republican business personally. That party went off the deep end a while ago and I’m cool with staying out of all the in-fighting. It has nothing to do with me.

Doing great man, I work in the tech industry on the consulting side. It’s remote work so I spend a good deal of my time traveling now. I’m probably the happiest and most secure I’ve been all my life right now.Lazerus wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:33 amYeah they have definitely lost their minds.Headhunter wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 9:25 am Wasn’t aware that you are Chinese (I was pretty sure you are white) but yeah both shooters were Republicans. Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
I’ll catch you up.
First shooter was a registered Republican from a rural gun nut family. The ActBlue donation was made by a 69 year old man in Pittsburgh with the same name, the receipt confirms this. But anyway his politics hardly seem relevant as his internet history indicates he was looking to shoot either Biden or Trump depending on who got to his area first. Definitely an adult incel school shooter profile more than anything.
Second shooter was an early Trump supporter who became disillusioned with Trump‘s foreign policy. Big China/Russia hawk, your classic neocon. Openly supported a Vivek / Haley ticket this year. This one is really MAGA vs. RINO, isolationist vs neocon business. He also seems to have been a bit of an anti-vaccine guy.
So yeah, two shooters, two Republicans, but let’s call it 1.5 since the first shooter was really just an incel loser with easy access to an arsenal.

Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
Nobody shows up to a Biden or Harris rally, let alone a gunman. Lmao.
Re: Trump Assassination Attempt Discussion
The fact people try to spin these shooters as disaffected Trump voters or Republicans is a mind-boggling reach. Who cares who or what he was ever affiliated with? Both guys tried to kill Trump. Not Harris or Biden. And people, including me, half-expected and predicted this would happen around election time and it's happened twice now. Whether they're Republicans, Democrats or Raiders fans is irrelevant to the act of assassination itself. The simplest view on this is there are either two lone nuts who tried to kill Trump two months apart from each other during election season, or they were both left-wing, CIA adjacent mercenaries who went 0-for-2. Either way, hopefully the third time is not the charm.
