evil dead 2 might undo your wound theory. the thing was crashing around and making noise. not possessing anyone even with obvious wounds. ash even says it's trying to get into our world. could be that. or could just be toying with them. take your pick.
I mainly attributed that to the first and never thought of it as a whole franchise thing. Let me know what you think when you watch the first.

Finishing off my giallo marathon with the clearly giallo-inspired American film 5 Dead on the Crimson Canvas (1996). Been wanting to see this for over ten years, and my DVD copy is ready to get busy wit it.

Oh, and my DVD copy is signed by Joe Zaso (one of the actors in the movie), which is cool. I hope I have good things to say about him after the film.

Joe Zaso beat a Nun in the face with a bike chain. Nothing good can be said.

it can force you to do things before it officially possesses you. like cheryl drawing/tearing into the paper to show the book.
Rewind it and you'll notice her hand is possessed. Almost like she herself isn't possessed but it's grabbing her hand

if her hand is possessed, it is done without a wound. i think it's just that the thing is forcing her to draw the picture.

Yeah. Notice her hand looks discolored? Almost like there's no circulation or something?

Possible. Or maybe we're looking way too deep into it?
also she seems to have her own consciousness even after being cut up. until after they come back to the cabin. it doesn't take so long with linda. is cheryl more strong willed or was it just letting her have her own consciousness while it was just laying dormant? i'm probably overthinking this, but you wanted me to.
